Rongda TechnologyRP325 Thermal Receipt PrinterCleaning methods

1. Printer's Ethernet interface

The RP325 series printers feature a standard RJ45-8P Ethernet interface socket that supports 10M/100M networks and offers adaptive transmission speed.

2. Printer cash drawer interface
The printer's cash drawer uses the RJ-11 standard, a 6-pin connector, and outputs a DC 24V/1A power signal to drive the cash drawer. Simply insert the RJ-11 connector into the cash drawer interface to open the cash drawer via the printer.

3. Cleaning the thermal receipt printer

3.1 Clean the printhead
The print head should be cleaned if any of the following conditions occur with the printer:
(1) The print is unclear;
(2) A certain column of the printed page is not clear in the vertical direction;
(3) The paper feeding noise is loud.
The printhead cleaning steps are as follows:
(1) Turn off the printer power, open the top cover, and remove the paper if it is on.
(2) If printing has just finished, wait for the print head to cool completely;
(3) Use a soft cotton cloth dampened with anhydrous ethanol (wrung out) to wipe away dust and stains from the surface of the print head;
(4) After the anhydrous ethanol has completely evaporated, close the top cover and try printing again.

3.2 Cleaning the sensor

The paper out sensor should be cleaned if the printer exhibits any of the following symptoms:
(1) During the printing process, the printer occasionally stops printing and alarms that it is out of paper;
(2) No alarm is triggered when paper is out of paper.
The paper shortage sensor cleaning steps are as follows:
(1) Turn off the printer power, open the top cover, and remove the paper if it is on.
(2) Wipe the dust and stains off the sensor surface with a soft cotton cloth dampened with anhydrous ethanol (wrung out).
(3) After the anhydrous ethanol has completely evaporated, close the top cover and test the machine again.

3.3 Clean the printing roller

The printing rollers should be cleaned if any of the following conditions occur with the printer:
(1) The print is unclear;
(2) A certain column of the printed page is not clear in the vertical direction;
(3) The paper feeding noise is loud.
The steps for cleaning the printing rollers are as follows:
(1) Turn off the printer power and open the top cover;
(2) Wipe away dust and stains on the surface of the printing roller with a soft cotton cloth dampened with neutral detergent (wrung out).
(3) After the cleaning agent has completely evaporated, close the top cover.
Notice:
(1) Ensure that the power is turned off during routine printer maintenance.
(2) Do not touch the printhead surface with your hands or metal objects, and do not use tweezers or other tools to scratch the printhead, printing roller and sensor surface.
(3) Organic solvents such as gasoline and acetone must not be used.

(4) Wait for the anhydrous ethanol to completely evaporate before turning on the power to continue printing.
