2015-12-03

On November 21, 2015, all employees of Xiamen Rongda Technology went to Tuweijia Farm in Tianzhushan, Haicang District, Xiamen. The activity was divided into 4 teams for team building training.

Today there are 8 tasks. Points will be awarded based on team ranking for each task completed: 5 points for first place, 4 points for second place, and so on. The first task is "Team Building." Each team must gather its members and find the team base as quickly as possible to complete the "Team Building" task. Run, teams, to be the first to finish!

The task involves gluing together sheets of newspaper to create a "fire wheel," then selecting five team members to stand inside it and walk a predetermined distance of 50 meters. If the fire wheel breaks during the journey, they must stop and repair it. Completing this task requires more than just considering speed (time); it also necessitates a comprehensive evalsuation based on the quantity of newspaper used to create the fire wheel (cost) and the overall damage to the fire wheel upon reaching the finish line (quality). Time, cost, and quality are the iron triangle of daily project management; a change in one can have far-reaching consequences.

The "DIY Cooking Competition" is also part of the task! Gathering firewood, starting a fire, washing vegetables, sharpening knives, chopping and preparing ingredients, cooking, plating... each step must be divided reasonably, and ingredients are limited, so the team leader needs to effectively supervise to complete the prescribed recipes within the time limit. At the same time, each dish reflects the collective effort of the participants, so let's eat, just like family!

This team-building training was not conducted by a professional external training company; instead, it was meticulously planned and organized by the company's Human Resources Department members through collective wisdom and effort. The overall activities revolved around the theme of "team building," including tasks such as "Playing Together," "Building a Bridge Across the River," and "Card Battles," which to some extent strengthened the participants' willpower, fostered team consensus, improved overall communication and collaboration skills, and helped build an outstanding team. At the same time, while ensuring the training's effectiveness, many fun and entertaining elements were incorporated into the tasks, making the training both educational and enjoyable, thus making it unique. Furthermore, after a day of team-building training, Team 4, the Red Flag Team, achieved the highest score in the task completion process.
